Wearhouse Soccer has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I grew up in Ocala with a passion for soccer. If there was a facility like this growing up, it would have been a game changer for me. The soccer culture in Ocala is huge, there has always been dedicated and quality players here. Unfortunately, we have always lacked the infrastructure to compete with bigger cities in player development. My desire is that Wearhouse Soccer can play a role in that process.
A little about me:
My name is Jesse Wear and Ocala has been my home all of my life. I played competitively here locally with Belleview United (ranked #1 in the state in 2012) and at Forest High School (where we went to states in 2012 with an undefeated regular season). Additionally, I spent my senior year at Montverde Academy where we won the High School National Championship in 2013. I then went on to play Division 1 soccer at Florida International University where we won a Conference USA Championship and were ranked top 10 in the country.
My deep passion for the game will be shown here at Wearhouse. We have small sided turf fields that are caged. This will provide loads of touches, no outs, fast paced, and lots of goals! We will host pick up games almost every day, leagues for all levels, skills clinics for the different types of players, tournaments, rentals, and much more!
We want to be a place where memories are made. Wearhouse will be the community Ocala soccer needs! The competitive leagues will have a promotion/relegation style system. The environment will be special.
